The True Flame
The True Flame is the ultimate power source of Divine Magic, according to the Church of the One God. It is fire, but not as men know it; instead, it is the fire from which all Creation was born, the fire that forfends Chaos and Evil, the fire wielded by the Angels against the Demons. It is granted to only the rarest of mortals, who are Chosen as special servants of God; some are meant to smote His wroth upon His foes, while others are meant to use it to heal the faithful and guide the faithless to salvation. Each wielder's calling is different.
In Tellandor, there exists only one organization dedicated to the study and mastery of this power: the Sisterhood of St. Devorah, commonly known as the Sisterhood of the True Flame. They have various chapter houses, and often serve as attachments to other orders, such as the Knights of St. Arja, whose members sometimes manifest the power.
Of course, not all gifted with this power will seek or find instruction with the Sisterhood; many must discover their gift--and its danger--alone. The True Flame does not burn lightly, and few mortals have the will to contain its power without arduous training. Thus, sadly, most of those who do not seek said training die early, victims of their own ability.
For the True Flame is powered by belief, by conviction, by the truest of faith--and yet, it is the most obvious sign, the most undeniable manifestation of God's presence and power. God is Faith, sayeth the Holy Word, and so His presence invokes and strengthens faith. Thus, as one channels it, one's faith and conviction ebb and grow, which only intensifies the flame, which thus invokes more faith, and the cycle continues, often until the wielder destroys herself. This is the central challenge of wielding the True Flame: avoiding the Rapture, the infinite ecstasy and fulfillment of knowing God's love so powerfully and thoroughly, that one might avoid utter disintegration, and thus eternal union with Him...at least until one's earthly tasks are complete.

Custom Powers
Can create most effects. Somatic components are required, but not verbal. Effects are spell-like. Mana is the Energy Source, which this skill's Power Source provides.
Can only create effects utilizing holy fire. Cannot in any way simulate frost, water, air, earth, lightning, shadow, or psychic effects. However, holy fire need not obey the same laws as natural fire; it is possible to snare, transform, shield, etc, using holy fire.
(At this time, I can't think of any seeds/extras/options that are off-limits, just the aforementioned energy types)
Feats
(Ideas:
- Ignition: Ignition is always required to start using Zeal (or whatever), but with feats, you can cause Ignition to create burst effects of its own, and use it as an immediate action.
- Retribution: feat to always retribute a bit of flame each time you are damaged. Stackable for more damage.
- Fast Healing: you regenerate fast, and heal from injuries and afflictions you ought not be able to heal from without aid.
